This company was founded in 1907, under the name of「Nissin Bean Cake Manufacturing Co., Ltd.(日清豆粕製造株式会社)」. Since its foundation, it has been manufactured soybean oil and soybean meal. In 1918, the company name was changed to「Nisshin Oil Co., Ltd.(日清製油株式会社)」and they began to manufacture various type of vegetable oils and fats. After that, they succeeded in commercializing of soybean oil as edible oil and launched the steady seller product "Nisshin Salad Oil(日清サラダ油)".

Now, this company handle not only household edible oils such as "Nisshin Salad Oil", but also commercial and processed edible oils and industrial oils.
